Magazines Part 2

Image Based- Get attraction from reader by interesting picture or person that can attract viewer. For example like travel magazine or celebrities in magazine Illustration Based- This was the only method to create cover page of the magazine in old days. Nowadays the all the illustrated image uses computer graphics Type Based - It's not typical way, but usually this type of method is strong and shocking because most of the time they chose some shocking quotes or they put shocking statistics. Concept Based - This type of cover page is easy to understand the meaning of the image of the cover by readers. The ideas could be really funny to readers, but that is the main point. Relationship between words and photo in magazine cover is they support each others weakness.

I chose this photo because the endless lines made the photo really cool to look at it. American Soldier

A. I think the picture of him and his dad walking in the px is the most powerful image because that shows kind of last moment with his dad before he goes to Iraq. B. Images in the website is chronological order, so it kind of tells how his life went on from civilian to  soldier and back to civilian. C. Captions help reader to understand the picture better because it has some background information. D. When he was 17 he decided to go join the army. After his health examination he was sent to Fort Carson, his training center. After his long time in training center, he was sent to last 10 days training in Mojave desert and he came back home. While going back and forth to home and army, he feels he is not fitting in either side. Then he was deployed in Iraq.
